29th June 2026

Dear Families,

Your child is invited to take part in the My Health My School Survey to help schools, the local authority and local health services plan and improve services for young people across East Sussex.

The annual survey gathers insights into the health and wellbeing of children and young people and covers topics such as physical activity, emotional wellbeing, diet and healthy lifestyles.

Why we need your consent

In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and our Information Sharing Arrangement with Leeds City Council, we must obtain your explicit consent before your child/children can complete the survey. Pupils over the age of 13 can give their own consent. Pupils will be given the choice to take part in the survey once consent is received.

What you need to know:

  • Participation is voluntary.

  • The answers given will be anonymised. The survey does not collect names or any other personally identifiable data.
