The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The GDPR will become law in the UK on 25 May 2018, regardless of the UK’s decision to leave the EU, and will replace the current Data Protection Act. There will be significant changes which will impact on data handling and information management in schools. This means there will be increased obligations on all data controllers (organisations who process personal data), including schools, and significantly higher penalties for non-compliance and data breaches.  Please see our Privacy Notice below.
