Larch (Year 3)

Welcome to Term 5 in Larch class!

I hope that you enjoyed your Easter break and the sunshine that came with it!

Our topic for term 5 is Africa. This is a very exciting topic which will take the children on a journey all around the continent of Africa. We will be exploring different tribes, land marks, animals and comparing this to our lives here in the UK.

Have a look at the curriculum letter and knowledge organiser below for more information. Also make sure that you have a look at the fantastic work here to see how hard we have already been working!

Please also see below our current maths area. The document will give a brief overview as well as some key vocabulary and strategies.

If you have any questions or concerns please email the office or Mrs Hamilton who will pass on the message or you can speak to me before or after school.

Thanks,
Mrs A Bracher

We have been learning about Nelson Mandela. Here is some of our research. We will use this knowledge to write a newspaper report about the day he was released from prison
To finish our Stone age to Iron age topic, we created our own Iron age shields. We designed them, planned them and then created them with cardboard. We are so proud of how they turned out
Jonah worked hard to create a stop motion animation all about discovering a mummy!
